Tarantino Goes After New Pussy

Quentin Tarantino who is by far the best filmmaker EVER is going to remake 60's soft-porn cult classic "Faster Pussycat! Kill! Kill!".

Since GrindHouse, Tarantino is very interested in making campy-sexy horror thrillers. The original film was about three thrill-seeking strippers who come upon a couple in the desert. Killing the boyfriend, they take the girl hostage and hide out on a secluded ranch owned by a wheelchair-bound redneck farmer and his two dim-witted sons. Trying to locate the man's hidden fortune, they seduce the sons to learn of the secret - soon all hell breaks loose.

Tarantino wants his version to be even raunchier. That's why we love him---and only for that reason. His choices in casting is lackluster we must say. His first choices are Kim Kardashian, Eva Mendes and none other than Britney Spears for the roles. YUCK!!!

Here's what NYIndieSeen would pick as the Pussy leads:

Jennifer Beals---she certainly knows ALL about being a Pussycat these days!

Angelina Jolie---I know I know...so typical. But why the hell the not? I would love to see her in a Tarantino flick.

Aishwarya Rai--- What about the hot Bollywood chic? Time for her to do more A-list crossover American flicks.

Christina Milian---I don't like her acting per se...but I'm curious to see how she would do in a soft core porno.

Stacey Dash--Where did she go? Has anyone seen her? Let's bring her back to the big screen!

Indie Off Course: Bette's Dinner Party

A great scene from last weeks episode of The L word entitled Little Boy blue, I absolutely adore the Group scenes on this show the dynamic of their personalities colliding makes me giddy like a little bitch.

Plus Jennifer Beals is absolute perfection at the end of this scene, Oh how I adore thee...

Indie-Off Course: "The L Word" Brings Sexy Back!

Dear: L Word
I gotta admit, you had me a little worried there for a moment.
You had such an amazing start, back in the first season when you introduced us to your world of stylish Sleek successful lesbians and their Love and lust lives in L.A.
the cast was amazing, the brilliant Jennifer Beals as type A, Bette Porter, androgynous Katherine Moening as Shane the resident heart breaker, the always adorable Leisha Hailey as Alice the quirky bisexual writer, the piercing Mia Kirshner as the intensely self serving aspiring writer Jenny Schecter
and Foxxy Brown herself Pam Grier as Kit the Straight reformed alcholic sister of Beals character
superb casting, gorgeous Locals, stylish clothes and plenty of T&A made this series an aesthetic Dessert for the eyes.
But it was the three dimensional characters, intelligent and witty writing and continuing sexually and socially relevant story lines that kept me coming back for more.
I hate to use the term ground breaking because I find it to be an oft over-used bordering on meaningless term, but with the L word Ground Breaking is a term that definitely fits.

It's not ground breaking for being the first show to portray almost exclusively gay lead characters, Queer As Folk conquered that territory first in 2000,

but it is ground breaking for portraying Gays in an intelligent well thought out and complex manner unlike Queer As Folk, A series that dropped the ball it was given with its sex crazed, empty and white washed depiction of gay America.

Queer As Folk would never have been able to handle the topics that The L Word has tackled. so effortlessly.
Racial and sexual identity, Gender identification, Art Vs religious Fundamentalism, and transgendered politics have all been handled skillfully and genuinely all the while remaining entertaining and undeniably captivating. Its an undertaking that "Queer" with its brain dead shirtless Himbo adventures, could only dream of being able to handle with such panache.

still delivering the sudsy, Soapy good times with secret pregnancies, torrid affairs, and emotional blackmail The L word was that series that delivered all the tantalizing goods in one addictive package.

Unfortunately something happened to you guys mid second season,
you were off to a good start with the addition of the painfully cool DJ, Carmen Morales (Sarah Shahi), and the pairing of best friends turned lovers Alice and Dana.
But by mid second season, that soul, that smartly crafted essence began to dwindle.
you got that new horrendous Betty theme song with its grating and repetitive hook and elementary Lyrics
"this is the way, is the way that we live.....and looooveee" Ugh
introduced a girls gone wild inspired peeping tom story line, that you never satisfactorily resolved and turned formerly ,bad ass mess, Kit into a whipped little play thing for Charles S Duttons dull motivational speaker character.
but you were still one of the best things on television, so we stayed tuned in hoping that somehow someway things would get better, that things would return you to the glorious heights that initially got us so devoted to you the 1st season.

Our hope didn't last for too long, as the Overly Soapy over the top story lines continued for the third season.
Drastic personality changes (Alice is an insane stalker, Shane tamed, Bette becomes a wimp?), weird unexplained character development (Alice and Helena are BFF, Tina's sudden bisexuality) and that annoying Manny romance for Kit, threatened too Kill the series where it stood.

It stopped being appointment television, and a sense of indifference and uninterest began to penetrate my feeling for the characters.
If the writers didn't care enough to stay true to these characters and who they were than how could they expect us as viewers to care about what happens to them?

in fact Shane's engagement to Carmen was the last straw for me, though some fans may claim that the loss of Dana's character as a result of breast cancer was the clincher for them, I disagree i found that story line to be one of the few that was satisfactorily handled that season, both heartbreaking and sudden as a death due to illness tends to be.
No, it was the monogamizing of Shane, one of my favorite characters and the L words resident Player.
Gone was that Mick Jagger swagger and detached stance on romantic entanglements and in its place was a Shane unhinged a Shane whose claws had been seemingly clipped.
though by the end of season 3 Shane did reemerge in her true form, when she left Carmen at the alter and ran off to parts unknown, but by that time the damage had been done

So I didn't particularly have high hopes for this new 4th season which premiered on January 6th. However those expectations were shattered with back to back solid if not spectacular episodes.
I don't wanna spoil anything by revealing too much regarding the developments of the season so far but trust me it gets goooood

Alice is her lovably awkward self again, Shane's got her hands full with a story line that spins her whole life for a loop, Bette is the tough as nails stoic academic again in a job she's passionate about and jenny? well jenny is Jenny times crazy.
I think the writers finally realized that the Lifetime movie of the week scenarios weren't as compelling as they initially thought, the humor is back with a vengeance and I have to admit that those large group scenes where all the characters interact with each other just warms my cockles (be sure to look out for a particularly funny basket ball game around the 4th episode.)

The ensemble has also expanded they've decided to introduce a new player among the midst, the bold Latina playgirl Papi who acts as Shane's rival, a radical deaf artist (played by Marlee Matlin) , and my personal favorite an actual butch lesbian character as a lead! the strong and silent Tasha, A former national guard servicer who becomes a complementary love interest for Leisha Hailey's giddy Alice.

The romance has been rekindled , I finally get that satisfied feeling again at the end of each episode instead of the feeling that i had waisted 45 minutes of my life, I Love these characters again, i feel like I know them again, like an old friend who returns home after a long trip, My girls are back!

At this writing I was on episode 6 of the 12 episode season, here is hoping that L word series creator Ilene Chaikin and the rest of the crew stay on course because if they continue to deliver the intelligent thought provoking and enticing program that they have presented to us lately , they are definitely on their way to reclaiming there spot on the pedestal of greatness.
like a phoenix rising from the ashes the L word has managed to emerge from two lackluster seasons to reclaim it's former glory and become the best show currently on television.

Sure like anything else the show has its flaws even still, but when it all adds up its still far better than anything else out there.
so thank you L word, for being as dynamic and fearless as you are.
You truly make Sunday nights one "L" of a night to look forward too (I hate myself for that one )
catch up on your L word

season 1
season 2
season 3

Sex scenes

you know what my favorite part of a movie is?, not the part where everyone lives happily ever after or the lead character survives a barrage of obstacles to come out triumphant and stronger as a person in the end. NO my favorite part of the movie, is the Sex scene, and I'm not talking about a "love scene either"

None of the romantical bullshit. I'm talking some real hardcore bang it out sex! I mean that's what intimacy is really about right? Its not about all that lovey dovey soul mates shit it's about getting Buckwild wit it!

Hmmm, maybe that's why we're single... '

Anyways here is our joint list of some of our Fave Sex scenes on celluloid ......

..in a mainstream film anyways

The Dreamers: Michael Pitt, Eva Greene and Louis Gerrel make a tantalizing threesome in this explicit Bernardo Bertolucci film.
that and you get to see some quality Pitt Peen.

Factory Girl: caught this one at the original test screening, I'm not sure if they edited anything out for the official theatrical release, but yeah Hayden and sienna were definitely Boneing in that one. Realest sex scene EVER!

___________
:
.
:
:
Mysterious Skin: The camera focuses on the face of (the hotness that is) Joseph Gordon Levitt while he gets head from some fat middle aged john, but we get to see every exquisite expression on the Hotness's face, and there's nothing sexxier than that....sigh

White men Can't jump: Rosie Perez and Woodie Harrelson, I don't know what it is about this scene, maybe its the ferocious sweatiness but it does it for me every time

Jasons's Lyric: Jada Pinkett smith and Allen Payne break our hearts in this poignant Drama that initially received an NC-17 rating, yeah its a bit more "romantic" then most of the other entries but its still a scorcher

Y tu mamá también: the final kiss between Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego luna, was enough to get this thoroughly provocative film on our list. yummers

Every Fucking scene, On The L Word: I know its not a movie but whatevez this Addictive showtime series consistently packs on the hot girl on girl action, and we bow down to the lusciousness that is Jennifer Beals
AHHH

True Romance - Ain't nuthin like bumpin uglies inside a telephone booth. Yeah thatz hot! Especially when you're doin it with Christian Slater (pre-fugly years though)

Body Of Evidence - Madonna of course would have to star in a film that has one of the hottest sex scenes. The whole masochistic-pour-hot-candle-wax-all-over-my-body-bit always makes for some good lovin.

Fatal Attraction - The best one night stand ever! These two can't even wait to get inside of the apartment, they start goin at it inside of the elevator! Hotness.

Unfaithful - Adrian Lyne surely knows how to make sex scenes work. He had us shaking inside when Olivier Martinez touched Diane Lane.

9 1/2 Weeks - Another Lyne favorite. Nothing goes better with sex than food. Using food as foreplay a diabetics fantasy

Dead Calm - Yea, this wasn't exactly consensual, but it wasn't exactly forced either. Something about this sex scene is hot even though Billy Zane is sooo bad.

Brokeback Mountain - Actually i was expecting a lil more full frontal action, but the subtlty can be kinda of hot especially when he spits on his hand and shoves it down Jakes.
...... yeah

Wild Things - Classic, Neve Campbell, Matt dillon and Denise Richards in her prime, we love a good threesome and this one definetly delivers. I'm still waiting to try out that champagne move.

Jennifer Beals) to do more than notice him. Dejected, he turns to Joe (Seymour Cassell), a gregarious investor, as a last-ditch effort to produce his 800-page script. Veteran actor Cassell earned Sundance's Best Actor award for his endearing and hilarious performance.

IndieSeen Favorite: Jennifer Beals

I never really understood why the Goddess Jennifer Beals wasn't a much bigger star than she is. I mean, she's a great fucking actress;
she's Gorgeous, like-able and intelligent. She has this sort of calming effect when she speaks.
I hear that stern but comforting Beals voice and it makes me feel that all is right with the world. she soothes, like calamine Lotion, or a nice spliff.
Yet somehow, since her breakout turn as an aspiring dancer in the now Iconic, 1983 film: Flashdance, the leading lady spot-light has eluded her.

Since Flashdance she has consecutively delivered solid performances in lower budget indie films like: :'In the soup", "the Aanniversary Party', or "Roger Dodger".
she's also had smaller knockout roles in bigger budget pictures like "Devil in a blue Dress" ( where she smoldered) and John Grishams "Runaway jury."
yeah there's been some stinkers, the Prophecy 2, Catch that kid, but dammit if she was offered the better roles that she deserves, then she wouldn't have to settle for that sort of dreck.
She's too good for it.

Many people have only recently gotten to see how amazing she is as an actress; subtle , intense, incredibly natural, thanks to the hit (and unfortunately shark Jumped since season 2), lesbian drama the L-Word, where she plays the tough as nails Bette porter.
In my opinion she's always been the best thing about the show, ( that, and all the hot girl-on-girl action, Oh and Foxy Brown).

I've tried to understand why the bigger roles have'nt come flooding to her thus far, this woman has been in the game for over 20 years and it's still a pleasure to see her name unexpectedly appear in the credits of a film I'm watching.
She is Joy, she is a breath of fresh highly talented Air.

I cant possibly comprehend why somebody like Renee zellweger can annoyingly pout and squint her way into super stardom, but my girl Jen can't catch a break.

Whats the damn problem?,
is it a racial thing? is there an issue with placing a biracial actress into leading roles?
is she not black enough?, Not white enough?
is their worry that there isn't a big enough audience to identify with her, and eventually want to support her films?
Well I'm gonna take this time to officially put out there, that I am willing to support any damn thing, the bealster shows up in. ANYTHING, I don't care what it is.

This fabulous bitch could show up in the next Adam Sander meets Dane Cook meets Andy dick Meets the Wayne's brothers meets Louie Anderson meets Carrot top meets Jamie Kennedy, Meets Jessica Simpson Irritata-Palooza road trip buddy comedy and I would still be there front and center of the isles with my popcorn and sour patch kids rearing to Go.

Maybe she just has crappy representation, Whatever the case, this beautiful queen deserves much better, She Needs to have an Oscar hanging on her mantel in her home, period.
She deserves it for being so bloody fabulous,

When is the damn academy; going to start taking my One man letter writing campaign, to add a Most fabulous Bitch category seriously?
I mean geeez Ben, fucking, Affleck has an Oscar (sorry Jamie).
surely they can find someway to get one to tha Beals.
Maybe then those Bridget Jones roles will finally come calling.

cause we know that they're sure as hell overdue.

Indie Pick 'O' the day: The Last Days Of Disco

Directed by: Whit Stillman

How do i love thee Whit? let me count the ways
though many may complain that his movies tend to be a bit too Wordy, or geared toward obnoxious soul-less self absorbed Yuppies. I prefer to see it as a commentary,
A commentary on an overly analytical psuedo intellectual Populace, that tend to speak with an authority that isnt particularly earned. due to a lack of any actual life experience to draw from.

for some reason watching people like that in action amuses me to No-end, add a gorgeous and uber catty Kate Beckinsale, a suprisingly sympathetic Chloe sevigney, Banging ass disco music and an always welcome cameo from the Luscious Jennifer Beals and you've got yourself a winner.
The Third in Stillmans' "Manhattan Trilogy", The Last days of Disco follows the lives of a group of Yupsters in the early 80's as they struggle to climb the corporate ladder by day , and search for love in the bowels of the New York city club scene by night.

with fast talking witticisms that would make the Gilmore Girls envious, Whits' gaze on these types straddles the line between glorification and parody all the while maintaining that keen sense of Awareness.
yes the Film tends to be a bit long , by the end it seems to drag on, and the characters aren't particulary likeable, they even become annoying after awhile, but if you stick with it to the credits, you will be rewarded with a pleasent little number that takes place in the subway.
Though usually the lives and Loves of the waspy types dont particularly hold my interest ( never was a fan of that Sex and the city), Whit StillMan smartly keeps his narrative focus , at just the right distance from his subjects so that the viewer doesn't end up reaching for the Cyanide pills .

so if you have about 2 hours to kill check this one out, you wont love yourself for it, but you wont hate yourself either.
