IFC joins Rooftop Films

Once again, Rooftop Films has partnered with IFC to bring some of the best short films in the world to one, tightly-curated site. 100 short films from Rooftop’s festival will be online on IFC.com. Our carefully selected short films range from some of the straight-up funniest films you’ll ever see (Crazy Eyes Dolphin vs. The Mad Cows), to some of the most deep-down gorgeous (Devil’s Teeth).

The collection as a whole offers a quality, curated alternative to the wild west of the rest of the web. As one of the most respected film festivals in the world, the movies we screen represent the finest examples of the short film as an art form. There are films that will make you laugh, films that will make you think, and films that you’ll want to watch over and over—and share with friends. And now the community extends even further, as the conversation about the films comes off the roof and onto our new blog.

We are posting information about the films, filmmaker interviews, news, weekend recaps, and more. Respond with comments and questions for us and for the filmmakers, creating an online community that captures the enthusiastic spirit of our live shows.Tell us a secret in response to Eric the Secret. Ask your own questions of the curious Hot Dog Man. Post your own experiences about our shows in the Rooftop Weekend Recap Check out the new and old Rooftop Films trailers. And find out about Rooftop’s very own Presidential candidate. Three new films every week and new blog posts all the time, so bookmark the page and come back to read the latest news from Rooftop, and join our community by posting your own comments and questions. * * * Monday morning Rooftop “Weekend Recaps” not fast enough for you?
