11th Annual Milwaukee Short Film Festival Readies For Second Decade


MILWAUKEE (October 8th, 2008) – The 11th Annual Milwaukee Short Film Festival showcasing the best in local, national and international short films has taken steps to ensure its longevity going into its second decade, making it the longest running festival of its kind in Milwaukee.

The 10th Annual event this past fall that showcased 45 films from around the world, and judged by industry professionals such as Uwe Boll, Zack Ward, Tim Lonsdale and Lori Kahn will be replayed this Fall, with another program featuring selections from our past decade. The event will take place at Bayview’s Alchemist Theatre, 2569 S. Kinnickinnic in Bayview on November 8th. This end of the year celebration of our tenth year also begins our kick off for our eleventh festival this Spring.

Created by local and independent filmmakers, the Milwaukee Short Film Festival is proud to provide local talent with a venue for their work to be seen. MSFF was named the “Best Local Festival” in Moviemaker’s Winter 2006 issue, and spotlighted last year by Universal Pictures Focus Features division.
