Indie Seen Pick 'O" the day: The Graffiti Artist

2004's the Graffiti Artist is director writer James Bolton's third foray into the Independent feature world, The film follows the day to days of a young drifter who seems to live for travelling the city streets aimlessly looking for places to Tag.
starring sleepy eyed new comer Ruben Bansie-Snellman this slow paced drama crawls from scene to scene almost each frame acting as a display for the graphic art exhibited on the side streets and dilapidated buildings, illuminated casually they become the focus of the movie .
The characters and their actions almost become secondary.
randomly inter cut with a sense of the visual fondling of the Graffitied works, a story line manages to slyly emerge, one of unrequited love and personal confusion.
though, it may not completely satisfy in the end, this picture is well worth a look, if only for the visually stunning works
